Hi Sinbad,

There are two threads from Saturday, started by Thomas, titled "HELP!!!!!!!" and "Help again!!!!!!!". If you read them in their entireity, you will better understand how we came to this conclusion. I was the one who initially suggested air was leaking into the crop. Tess actually clarified that the condition is called subcutaneous emphysema, which is air leaking under the skin, not into the crop, and is caused by a ruptured air sac. It creates a balloon around the chick and will kill him if not treated in this way. The layer of skin is so thin that it is transparent, and can easily be punctured without risking other internal injuries.

By the way, how is he doing Thomas?
