Subject: Question about brooders and eggs

I have 2-3 hens that have decided to sit on their eggs! I am going to let them sit and see what happens.

However, all other hatches have been in an incubator. I have never had naturally incubated eggs before (but two of the three are pretty set in sitting). So all of the hatchlings came out as a group that were then placed in their brooder (glass aquarium with lights and shelf liner) and then moved to a medium cage with the bedding at about 4 weeks and then to their own large cage at about 6 weeks. We have all of this down to a science.

This being the first couple of hens that have ever sat on thier eggs leaves a couple of questions: If any of the eggs do hatch, should the babies be separated with the hens? By themselves? Left in the cage?

Thanks for words of experience I will be getting!
