Subject: can you sex chicks from behavior

I just bought three little button chicks about 4 days old. I put one by itself and another two together. I want at least one to become much tame. But I wonder if the two other chicks that are housed together can become tame too if I cup them together in my hands frequently. Anyways, my main question is when I was holding the single chick in my hand, he/she started flopping over and making peep peep sounds like a button hen. Could this 4 day old chick very well be a female? And also when I was holding the other pair in my hands, one of them started making cricket like sounds when it became sleepy and relaxed. Could this one be a male? I had a male button once who would make quiet cricket-like chirps when it was sleepy or night time. I wonder if this behavior they have be the same as adults or do all chicks behave like this??
