Subject: brooding problems

I heard people complaining about brooding problems like hen abandoning the eggs or chickens.

I keep quails for 6 years and never had any problem.
every single hen go clucky and if not allowed to sit will go clucky almost every month.

Those who I let to sit, i never had a case of the hen abandoning eggs or chickens.

Every time I have chicks, I move them with the mother to a cardboard box and change the box every second day and the hen is always good. she never leaves them, it is always the chicks who leave the mother once half grown up and start to mix with others.

maybe it is because I live in Australia and they are native here and maybe just naturally broody.
