Subject: Babies at our house

A few weeks ago, two of our birds died in an unfortunate way. One bird, Marble, was one of our original birds and a favorite. She left behind five eggs and I told Thomas he could try to incubate them. Well, we were all thrilled when three hatched on Wednesday. As you all know, they are soooo adorable and lots of fun to watch!

Another one of our original birds, Nutmeg, has had a straddle leg since hatching. She probably won't live a normal life span because she has to expend so much energy to move about. She had stopped laying, but started laying again. So we put six of her eggs in the incubator. They should hatch in about ten days.

Don't know where I'm going to put all of them! And Thomas is away until July, so I'm the one in charge of all these birds! I would say this in one science project that definitely has gotten out of control! : )
