Oh, I'm sorry, Christine! It seems this is a bad day for buttons, what with you, Trina, and me all losing birds today.

Buttons like to be in pairs, and your bird may prove to be very lonely without a partner, especially since it has always had a partner. If your bird is a male, I would adopt a female bird. If your bird is a female, you can get either a male or a female.
