Subject: Setting up an outdoor aviary

I am building my first outdoor aviary. I live in north AL which is zone 7a. From what I can figure, BQ can survive outdoors through the winter. I figure that I can cover the aviary in clear plastic and put a heat lamp or reptile rock in for the really cold nights. The aviary is in my garden (converted tennis court). It is a hexagon with about 65 square feet of floor space. It is planted with plants. I want to add a couple of evergreen plants (ANY SUGGESTIONS????).

Here are my questions:
1. Can they over winter in zone 7a?
2. How many could I keep in the cage?
3. Are there any other birds that would make good companions and that would overwinter outdoors too?

I would love to have button quail throughout my tennis court but I can't visualize how to cover it. The tennis court has a 20foot green tight weave net around almost all of it! I have never actually seen them fly. The botanical gardens where I volunteer have them in the butterfly house. I love that area!
