Yes, it can take some of them a while. Some of them hatch out quickly, and others take some time. It's very hard to be patient, but it's important to let them do it alone. There are cases in which they need to be helped out, after many hours of trying to hatch. These birds usually are the ones that end up with curled toes or other problems. When you have an egg that is slow to hatch, you need to keep the incubator closed to keep the humidity in. Otherwise, they tend to dry out, making hatching more difficult. Hopefully, Trina will be able to respond to this. She's had buttons for a lot longer than us. Where are you, Trina?
