I had a like experience and lost one of my favorite birds last summer. He was also found after a couple of hours of looking in the scrubs, but when I tried to get him he flew off and I never was able to find him. That was one moment I wished I had a net. I felt with a net that may have been the only way I could of contained him. I felt really bad.

By the way I have a dark cinnamon blue face with a large amount of solid white on his wing. He's really beautiful. I wonder how the white got there, since both his parents were dark.
