Subject: baby buttons in cage with adults

After a few years without button quail, i recently purchased an adult mating pair and thirteen babies that are two weeks old. Today, as a sort of experiment, i put two of the babies in the cage with the adults. Technically the babies were hatched from the adult's eggs but they were incubated and not hatched naturally. I was uncertain of how the adults would react when i put the two babies in but they have been in the cage for several hours and so far nothing bad has happened. The babies don't seem scared and they were in fact "dust bathing" in this little box that is in the adult button's cage which has wool in the bottom (the quail seem to love this) and the male adult was even sort of snuggling up next to the babies at one point and so was the female. Should i leave them in the cage and just continue to observe them? I'm hoping that if the adult pair raises the chicks this will encourage them to hatch their own in the future.
