Subject: Toenail gone?

I noticed today that my button had something weird wrong with one of her toes. I just saw her yesterday and every day I check their feet for accretions to make sure there are none.

Today I looked and it looks as if one of her toenails is missing, and it looks as if there is an accretion but it doesn't look like poop. It's hard to explain but I can tell there is a small feather stuck to it. I'm not sure what to do, how I am supposed to hold my buttons toe in warm water as she won't like me holding her, but is that even the right thing to do? Her toenails are not horribly long, so I'm not sure why this would happen.

She's walking around on it just fine, she doesn't seem to be in pain at least not by much. What should I do??
