Subject: taming the babies

Hi. I'm a new proud owner of these gorgeous little babies. I have four of them, and am wondering how to tame them. I have had them for two days now, and talk to them everyday all the time. I hate to scare them, and everytime I put my hand in their aquarium, they scatter. Any ideas, or should I just pick them up and get them used to me?
