Sorry to hear about your baby!
I had some babies hatch on Friday and all 4 were fine, and then from another hen I had 5 hatch yesterday morning and one of them died yesterday afternoon. It was a very weak chick and just not strong enough, I guess. :-( The other ones are fine. And these are buttons that are not in an incubator but hatched in my aviary and are cared for by their parents. So I am sure you didn't do anything wrong. It's always so sad to have a bird die but I'm sure you will be good "surrogate mother" for the rest of them.
