If your birds ever get anything on their feet, like when poo gets caked on there, you always need to soak it in warm water... but that is kinda hard if you hold them. So what I do is take a clear plastic box fill it with half an inch of warm water, put the bird in there and put a towel over the top. (Be sure the water level is low enough so the bird doesn't get wet.) I leave them in there for 5-10 minutes then wipe of their feet and any feathers that got wet. then you just put the heat lamp over then so their feathers will dry, and you're done!
