Hi Anna,

Sorry to hear that you're having this problem. Yes, we have used both methods, and there's several detailed posts in the archives about this. We did have success with the bowl method, but it does seem a little distressing, maybe to us more than to the bird! To tie a string around the legs, you obviously have to have two people, one to hold the bird, the other to do the tying. We used embroidery floss, but not red, of course. The other birds will peck it. We've had success with this method, also. We do have one bird, that no matter what, her leg would not repair. She is almost two years old now, and scoots around on her tummy. So, whatever you try, good luck and keep us posted on baby's progress.
