Button quail unfortunately have a very bad hatch/survival rate. Some of the chicks probably didn't develope as much as the others and were weaker then the others. I have noticed that sometimes a chick will have a little dried blood on their vent, and both times I have seen this, the chicks have died soon after. I saw this the first time we hatched buttons and the most recently. I have no idea what this is, but it seems to be a problem. A lot of other things could contribute to their death, and without being there I'm afraid this is the best I can do.
