Hi mate,

Of course the chick is still alive. He is doing very well actually. He lives in a brooder box that I made out of a shoe box. It has a clear 60 watt light bulb as a heat source during the day and a dark party light bulb for the night. The temperature does fluctuate a bit but is never less than 90 and never more than 95 degrees F. I could not find a non shelf liner for the floor anywhere in the shops, however I have used a rough rug which is providing good footing for the chick. I took the top off the box to make the video.

We don't "prop" him around like you suggested, we did try to introduce him to his parents mostly because he is alone and cries all the time. Obviously it was a bad idea and we won't try it again. While I appreciate your concern you can be assured that the chick will not be mistreated in any way. I hope I've answered all your questions.
