I have oyster shell crushed nicely, almost the same as any other bird grit, but they eat around it and leave the shell in the bowl. They just won't eat it. I put the powder in their food also, but am still afraid maybe they don't get it or they aren't getting enough of it.

Is it bad to put some in their water?
