Subject: reason for behavior

Ahoy!

I haven't been here in a while, and have since forgotten my own username >_<, but thought you guys might have an answer to a more peculiar question.

My two boys, every now and then, will (either together or at different times) fluff up, shimmy backward, and make a clearing in their bedding, like a nest. They do it over and over, usually when I've just changed the bedding, until they feel comfy enough to stay knelt down. Why do they do this?

It's just about the cutest damn thing I can imagine.
