I will separate them tonight with a divider in their cage and then try to figure out a larger area although they have been in this cage for over a year. Can a quail die if it loses too many feathers? I guess that is my biggest concern right now. He seems perfectly normal as far as eating and behavior but I have noticed they aren't sleeping together as often. He is about 4. I've only had the little female since June when my other little female died.
