I have this problem too, it's a REALLY difficult habit to break. The peckers especially seem to love pulling out the new pin feathers as they start to grow through. Someone who used to post on here a few years ago suggested spreading mustard on the affected areas to discourage the plucking, but that sounds very messy!! I know you can get bitter tasting sprays for parrots who self pluck, that may work. It doesn't cause them ill health having bald patches, unless they draw blood as Susan said, in which case they are sure to be picked on even more, but they do look terrible! I have quite a few bald backs at the moment, so if anyone has any other suggestions I'd love some advice too!! *Pulls own hair out*
