Hi Donna,

I think if your second hen is broody then she will most likely sit on the other hens fertile eggs, she probably won't care whether they're hers or not, I'm not even sure if she would realise. I've heard alot of people who've had success with fostering eggs. Has the second hen shown any signs that she might sit? Your first pair, are you 100% sure that your 'male' is actually a male? Most males are very keen to do the 'naughty bird thing' lol so I'm wondering if maybe 'he' might possibly be a female, but then I guess you would have more eggs... Maybe they sometimes do the business when you aren't looking lol
