I'm no expert on button quails, but go the way of a shelf-liner made from multi-purpose polyvalent which you can buy at the $ store. Sinbad had a chick that was straddle leg and used this medthod and he began to walk with in days but did have on leg with a curled toes / never did stop him from running or walking. Good Luck.
