Our first born child was not born with birth defects, but had Reyes Syndrom when she was 4 and a half years old. It had a mortality rate of 50%. Our child lived and is now in her thirties, but there have been and still are a lot of emotional problems. We met 2 other families with children with the same disease. All the fathers were in Vietnam in the same general area, all our sick children were the first born, and all the fathers had been exposed to agent orange. We have tried to find other veterans who have had children with this disease to try and establish a connection with the agent orange.
