Larry has some good advice. Contact your Senators, Congresspeople, and write to the Daily Oregonian. Also, contacting the DAV and other Veteran Service Organizations will help create further awareness. It would be ideal to file a lawsuit against this prison, but lawsuits are expensive. The most important thing is to create as much awareness as possible and as much pressure as possible to make this behavior stop. We just celebrated Independence Day, and cannot treat those who contributed to our independence with cruelty and disrespect. Whether on the streets or incarcerated, we must honor the service and sacrifice of all who wore the uniform.
