My husband, who served at Long Binh in 1969-70, passed away from colon cancer in 2005, after a five-year battle. There has not been any cancer in his family - he was the first. I tried to pursue this issue with the VA but got nowhere. Have talked to a few other Viet widows who lost their husbands from colon cancer.
