Subject: incarcerated vietnam veteran

My husband was recently sentenced for a misdeamor 5 months in jail. We have been married 40 years this month and he has never been arrested. He is 100% disabled Vietnam Veteran. This was a dispute between our neighbor whom he asked to pick up his dog poop.When the police arrived the neighbor lied and they arrested my husband. This same neighbor attacked my husband a few months later while he was walking our dog in another neighborhood and was convicted of assault. An eye witness testified at the trial witch proved our neighbor guilt.The judge gave the neighbor two nights in jail, 40hr community Service and no probation. He was ordered to pay restitution for my husband's medical bill, as he was taken to hospital for head injury, but has never been ordered to pay. Because this neighbor new my husband had PTSD he claimed his family was awfraid of my husband and sterotyped him as a crazy veteran and a time bomb waiting to go off.
This is not true as the assault on my husband made his PTSD worse because of this neighbors irrational behavior. I was wondering if there is any help to look into this matter in Phoenix, AZ or who I could contact. Thank you Marj.
