Stay strong. My husband, Jack was in Cat Lai Jan 1968 to Jan 1969. In the book Strangers At Home:Vietnam Veterans Since the War, published in 1980 there is a study by John Wilson about post war neurosis. It is very detailed in its 3 year work with Vietnam vets. It's about 8 dollars to order thru the net. Do you have any old letters to friends or relatives that you may have written about a "stressful" event? don't give up! You may be able to find someone to provide an affadavit of a common experience that served in the same area. Author Catherine Whitney wrote Once Soldiers... it has a lot of helpful info. You're not alone. Good luck.
