Subject: Did anyone know Freddie Levon Butts in Nam in '68?

Freddie Levon Butts is my dearly beloved ex-husband. We were married for almost 32 years when he started having signs of PTSD and asked for a divorce. It has been very hard being without my love and hard also for our 25 y/o daughter (our only child). I am writing to see if any man reading this site may remember Freddie who was from Sweetwater, TX and was in Nam in 1968 through 1971 or 1972. He was called Doc Trip and Doc Butts. He had a friend named Smitty and one named P.K.Mull. There may have been a friend named Danny also. He fought in the Tet of '68. I remember him talking about places like Que' San Valley. He was a Navy Corpsman and was used also in the Marine Corp as a Medic. He received his training at San Diego before going overseas and then was there in San Diego afterward. He lived in Robstown, TX at sometime. He now lives at 201 Silverleaf Dr. Fort Worth, TX. I live at 703 East 12th, Sweetwater, TX 79556. I think that he needs someone to talk to who experienced the same things. He would not go to get VA counseling because I think he felt they could not help and also he just wants to forget (understandably), but I know that he has some deep hidden fears that come out at him sometimes. I want him to be well and happy. I will always love him. I have always been so proud of him. I continue to pray for his well-being. I am 53 and alone. I will never be free to marry. He has a good job, but even that won't take the place of peace of mind. If anyone knows him and wants to make contact with me or him, please do so with caution because he just does not want to face it all. I'd be glad to talk to anyone who knew him or wants to help.
