Date Posted: Sun, Nov 04 2012, 8:36:08 I have two outstanding dui arrests from two and four years ago. My lawyer had been tossing them out into the future (court dates) so that I wouldn't have a habitual traffic violator charge; that equates to 3 dui charges within a 10 year period. Should I become convicted on any one of these two before 12/2/13, I face losing my driver's license for 10 years and both are felony charges as well. He wasn't concerned about having trouble getting them reduced to misdemeanors, but now the laws have changed and the court now says that arrest dates within 10 years instead of conviction dates. ouch! This so sucks, and though there is a chance I will prevail on both counts, losing drivers license and felony charges are possibilities that I have to prepare for. Anyone here gain and or retain employment with a felony? I need some good and happy ending stories if you have them! This judge is wanting to move all the court cases like mine through the courts all of the sudden.. I hate all this frigging baggage!
