Wow, that sounds like an awful and harrowing journey... I got a DUI of .12 in PA back in April 2015, immediately before starting my first job in nursing... I have since been working, employer is unaware but I'm doing well at work. Unfortunately, I'm going through loads of bullshit with the PHMP, avoided VRP, but I'm sure i will still be compelled to do PNAP or surrender my license when the time comes. It's just a long process. I am most likely going to surrender my license and find a different job. I got ARD for the DUI so i won't have that on my record. I can probably start fresh in a new career if I'm lucky and determined enough to find something else that pays something like nursing does. I don't have any other degrees right now, but i'm thinking about doing some courses online that can train you for free to be an IT person. I talked to a guy that travels around setting up security networks for companies/colleges, etc. who referred me to these websites for the training he received to acquire his career. Fuck it, i can't handle surrendering my entire life to this fucking state for a DUI without causing harm to anyone at all. I'm young enough right now (still living with daddy) that i have options, and forfeiting my life for years to come just to continue to be a staff nurse with no room for growth for the rest of my life just isn't one right now... Idk, i really struggle with this decision, but i just can't stomach the thought of wasting my life away in this program. I would love to talk more about this with you though, especially since you're in PA as well and this site seems to be pretty much dead. Have you looked into other careers?
