Write down all medications you take and have been taking for the last 90 days and submit it to you case manager so it can be a part of your permanent file. Talk to your group facilitator (those weekly meetings)and ask her if she would be willing to right a letter to the Board on your meeting and group participation. She/He won't be able to confirm or deny any drug usage but can attest to your group participation and invovlement in the group dynamics. Then ask for an independent hair analysis and if possible, ask CM for another lab where you can take a second urine test. All of this is a long shot but you have to fight it through. I have seen this play out both ways in New Orleans. One nurse was revoked based on her long history with the board and another was not sanctioned and the results was indeed found to be a false-positive after she had independent hair test and secondary urine screen.
How long have you been in? Are you compliant with all the BS? Have ever missed urine screens?
It's unfortunate, we don't the same inalienable rights afforded through the consitution but we do have the right to fight for our licenses with as much ammunition we can muster up. Fight, Fight, Fight!!!!!!!! Stay encouraged!!!!!
