I've been in counseling with a woman who is an addictionologist for the past months. So that, I hope, will work out well. The thing is though that she wants me to go through iop which I've already done and I've also gone through a 45 day in house rehab. My question to her today is going to be, "Why the change in treatment"? I mean I see you for all this time and now that ISNAP is getting involved I need rehab? Please! A relapse prevention makes more sense to me. My dui's were in 08, 10, and Jan. of 11. Not pretty. I'm sober now but have a lot of collateral damage. My hub and I are divorcing, married him at the height of my drunkeness! my kids and I are on shaky ground and I'm unemployed. I feel a change in the air though, I think like you said Ethan, there's a lot to be said for coming clean. I no longer will have to look over my shoulder wondering if someone is going to call the BON on me. I self reported and that is cleansing. I'm wondering though, how long does it take once I go to renew and answer truthfully, "yes" I have been convicted etc. will it take before they renew me with a probation status? I don't want to be without a license, especially if I am fortunate to obtain a job. Thank again for your insight! [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
