It can give the person a lot of energy to work and deal with stress but when one runs out it, your energy is low and it causes depression. The more you work, the more drugs you get and feel good. When one is not working then the moodiness comes in and don't feel like doing anything unless you get your high. It's a hard thing to break unless someone intervenes and the addict has to choose the drugs or the profession. In my case, my employer found out because of behavior and complaints and I accepted the help. It was no easy task and the addict would need someone to support them financially until they can get a job. There are a lot of obstacles and one cannot do it on our own.
