I interviewed at Blue Cross Blue Shield a little over a week ago and it went nowhere. They were interviewing about 10 people and I saw the job reposted last Friday. The interviewer seemed to think you needed years and years of direct care experience to be a care manager (which I do not have). You never know what a hiring manager will decide is THE thing they must have. So far, I have not had THE thing and my licensure status has not helped my case. When you talk about how great your situation is, I just want to cry. When I first returned to nursing, I had a boss who really liked me but now I feel like a pariah. Ever since that boss transferred, I have not had a good job or have been out of work. I have worked so hard to do the right things but I am beginning to wonder if it is even worth it.
