Well in my not so humble opinion you can not have it both ways either you have free will to make decissions on your own and not be ruled by a inanimate object ie addiction, or you are guided through out your life by some omnicient(sp) power who will not let you fail. It is one or the folks, remember the world wasn't built in 7 days, more like 4 Billion years. No church on earth will help you overcome your/our addictions only the self will take care of that.
