I like this thread. I like the idea of a National Drug Testing Day for nurses. I'll bet there would be some serious anxiety and "no shows" for work THAT day. In all seriousness, Catmom, are you allowed to work as an RN and just can't get that kind of job, or are you still restricted from patient care? In California our Diversion and Discipline nurses have had good luck in dialysis, blood donor labs, and Advice or telephone triage services at major hospital systems...is there a Kaiser near you?
