Subject: I wondered about this part, especially given the scene that came next and the friction (word?) between Roger and Malva. I wonder if Alan followed Roger to spy on the exchange. Right from when we first see Alan and Malva I had a feeling there was someting wrong with their relationship, not sure if only my imagination or not. DG did have Roger thinking for a minute that they were married, but then we got so caught up in 'what is wrong with Tom?' that I forgot..
