Subject: "The Scottish Prisoner"

I just finished reading it and liked it very much. I began it last Saturday on a cold, rainy night and it did what the Outlander books always do: Made me crave rare red meat and whisky. Nothing else would do for supper and I had a runny nose, was exhausted from teaching all week, and was really tired of the vegetarian fare I had been consuming for several days. After all, I'm not a rabbit. So, out of bed I climbed, got dressed, and drove out into the cold to the local hofbrau where I ordered rare roast beef with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, and a glass of Jameson's, neat. I forgot my cold and drove back home through a blinding rainstorm, satiated. Now, I remember a painting of the Wild Hunt by Arthur Rackham. I'm going to try to find a reproduction.

[> A slab of rare roast beast and a belt(or two..) of Glenmorangie...maybe even a good cigar, not to smoke, just to get the sweet taste of a good cigar rolling around my mouth. Ahhhhh...Heaven! Even better, a dreary, drizzly day. -- Betsy Barefootspinner, 11:40:54 03/31/12 Sat
