Subject: Question about Jemmy from Drums

Hi everyone,
I have a question from Drums of Autumn.... When Roger and Brianna are deciding what to name the baby, they discuss the name Jeremiah, or Jemmy. Roger remembers the baby from the Gloriana and asks Claire what was "the name of the changeling's wife". She responds that it was Morag, who was the woman he helped on the ship with the sick baby. Who was Jemmy? The baby's father? Didn't the changeling die and was replaced by Duncan's son, William Buckleigh? I am confused...

[> I might be wrong but the way I remember it is Buck was Morag's husband and the baby's father, as well as Duncan and Gellie's son. I get it. I thought the "changeling" was the baby that died. I think I was getting it confused with how the auld folks would put a sick baby on the hillside - I thought those were called changelings. Your explanation makes perfect sense.
I am reading the entire series again - I first read them about 10 years ago. I am thoroughly enjoying this second trip through them and noticing so many more details.
