Subject: The whole Sandringham bit is brilliant sleuthing and writing by Herself. She finds this enigmatic Duke, whose political leanings matter, but no one knows what they are. Then he dies but no one knows when, where or how. She deftly weaves him into the story and we have a great threading of Leoch, Paris, Mary Hawkins, and Hugh Monroe. I love it.

[> [> Murtagh's offer of his life for failing his laird, just prior to this passage, kind of puts Arch Bug's similar gesture to shame, if you ask me. I never thought Arch believed Jamie would kill him. -- Lee, 22:09:51 08/11/15 Tue
