Did I see this, or did I dream it? When Roger and his mother went down to the underground to avoid German bombing, the stairs began to collapse and mother dropped Roger to the crowd below to save him - that was in ABOSSA or DOA, not sure. But later Roger's memory clarified to say that she had not dropped him DOWN, but rather had thrown him UP, and Jerry, Roger's dad who had finally made it home after leaving the 1700s, caught him. What happened to Jerry after that, presumably he saw Roger safe somewhere and vanished again - do we know why? If this was a MOBY excerpt then perhaps this will be answered, if it was from somewhere else, where? And what happened next?

That was in the short story in Songs of Love and Death. (I believe Roger's telling it to Bree was in FC or ABOSAA, when she worrying about Jem remembering her if she died while he was so young but the addition of Jerry is in the short story, "A Leaf on the Wind of All Saints")

I don't remember the specifics now, except that he was there and helped Marjorie (right?) get Roger to safety.
