Subject: Prayers for an infant requested

Just stopping in to ask if you could keep my best friend's newborn (3 months old) in your prayers. She took her into the doc last week for a high fever. It spiraled from there to a bladder infection that spread to the blood and they admitted her an hour later. I guess it's precautionary for an infant. She's still in the hospital and they've performed a spinal on her and ruled out meningitis. As of yesterday they were going to perform an ultrasound to make sure she didn't have any developmental problems with the hopes that she'd be out on Wednesday. My friend sounded pretty calm and confident that I'd be able to come for my planned visit on Friday (it's a 100 mile drive).

Her sister's facebook page says the baby is all smiles when people visit, but looks like she'll be in at least until Saturday at the earliest. I'm not sure I'll go to visit as I don't want to be in the way and I'm not the best person visiting a hospital. I haven't talked to my friend since yesterday, she's pretty much living at the hospital right now. She also works there and has no vacation left after her maternity leave, so it's pretty much 24/7 right now. Her mother is watching her other two children and her husband may still be required to work out of town as the bills don't pay themselves.

So prayers and thoughts for baby K, Mom and Dad, and the whole family would be wonderfully appreciated. Thanks and hugs to all who need them.
