In reply to: CathyS 's message, "UPDATE ON DD LISA She had her surgery this morning. She called from the hospital lobby while she was waiting for her taxi cab. (sigh) She took a cab there and back - the doc had to fill out some kind of special paper to allow her to leave without a friend/family member. It was only 2 hours after the scheduled surgery time so it couldn't have taken more than an hour or so. She sounded sleepy and said she felt stoned. I e-mailed her later this afternoon and she said she is fine - was folding laundry. So . . . she hasn't spoken to the doctor yet - will see him the 23rd (next wednesday) and find out what next. Hopefully just routine testing and watching. I'm glad (now) we didn't go there against her wishes. She is sounding like she might like to come home for a visit later this fall and we can help make that happen. Thanks for all your support and concern.
