Subject: Lost my Daddy today

This morning I received the dreaded phone call that my father passed away this morning. He has been ill for some time and even though we knew it wasn't to be long, you're never prepared for the call. He has battled congestive heart failure for years. He has suffered so much that it is a relief that he is at peace. But that doesn't stop the pain. I'm getting ready to head to their house to be with the family. It is a blessing that in the last week each of his eight children have been there and spent time with him. He had a pretty good week and didn't start to go down til Saturday night. He was able to spend his last days in the home that he so lovingly built and with those he loved. Please pray for my family, especially my step mother who was married to him for close to 45 yrs. They have been each others air and I know that she's going to take it hard. I know I will draw strength from knowing that all of you are there.
