Subject: I am a director of a Bariatric program, and we work extremely hard as a team to support our patients for the rest of their lives, if they will let us! There can be complications, but by following guidelines set by the program and asking for and taking help when needed, patients do fantastically well. I'll tell you, I have the best job ever.....we have a patient right now who has lost 225 lbs since January (he was 575 to begin with) AND IS A NEW PERSON. Every time he comes in, we all cry. He's doing things he never dreamed he could do again, the foremost being able to be active with his daughter. He will be coaching her softball team this summer. Last summer, he stayed inside, in a lazy boy all day.. Good wishes to Matt, he will do well!
