Subject: Summer's End

I go back to work on Mon. I still have my part time job, so I'll be back to 60+ hours a week. I've really enjoyed this summer & have had time to re-charge and take care of some mental and physical health issues. I'm very afraid to go back. I don't want to lose the ground I've gained. I know I'm not the only teacher in this boat, so pray for all of us as school gets started again. Thanks.

Around the holidays, I'll be looking for an additional part-time job when the weekend job (seasonal) is done. You have our support, love, and complete empathy! -- Lady_Jane, 20:29:19 08/04/12 Sat

[> Summer's End -- Bonnie, 06:02:04 08/05/12 Sun

The tree behind my porch has begun to drop crispy brown leaves and my stomach clenches. . . I am also a teacher dreading the start of school. I have taught full time for 22 years and the last 5 or 6 years, each one has gotten harder! So many expectations and I can neither fulfill them nor ignor them. Were I younger or married (able to depend on a second income) I truly think I would find another career. It is devastating to work so hard, care so much and be appreciated so little. And now even monetarily the job is lacking. So, yes, I understand and sympathize TOTALLY!
