Subject: New to LOL but not to Outlander.

I initially found Outlander at the Pleasanton, CA Scottish Games in the late 1990's (I think). I saw Diana Gabaldon sitting quietly at her table surrounded by her books and no one else. I shyly went to the table and poked around a bit, saying Hi, etc. when another woman came up and started gushing about the series--so I bought Outlander from DG. I stayed up into the wee hours that night, and many a night since; including last night when I finished Outlander for the fourth time. This morning started DIA for the third time--I am on a roll again. I am giving Outlander to a good friend and my daughter for Christmas (she is finally mature enough to appreciate the book), so of course I felt obligated to read it again so that it would all be fresh for conversation.

At the same time it is never far from my thoughts. I suppose that is why I finally decided to post on this board, seeking other who understand the passion. I told my daughter in a note wrapped in the package with her book, "This will explain part of who I am in my fantasy life". Can't say as it hurts my real life either--my husband certainly receives more attention when I am reading them. So here I am, an LOL officially now! Good to meet you all--my like minded sisters (are there brothers?).
