Subject: Magazines don't cut it..

Well, I tried to read the stack of magazines that have piled up since my spare time was taken up with Jamie and Claire. The magazines just don't cut it. When my daughter brought me Outlander, I didn't think I would enjoy it at all - a romantic novel...silly. She insisted I would like it. I haven't read a romance in a long time. I enjoy mysteries, spy novels, and historic novels, not a silly romance. She kept asking if I started the book, and I decided to give it a try. The next thing I knew, I was asking if I could borrow the second book, then the third. Then I started buying them for myself. I need to buy the 2nd and 3rd books to complete my series. I treasure good books, and I like having them on the shelves.

I will take your suggestions and see if the library has the CD to listen to. I doubt our small library has it, but I'll try. Thanks for the suggestions and recommendations.
