Subject: Just finished The Fiery Cross...on to A Breath of Snow and Ashes....:-)

Hi All,

I've posted on these boards just once before. I was a friend of LallyVic's (just "Vic" to me) and came here after she passed.

Anyway, she got me to read the Outlander books, finally...after relentless nagging of the loving kind....LOL! Well, I finally finished The Fiery Cross, after being sidetracked by life for a bit, and have just started A Breath of Snow and Ashes. And I already have An Echo in the Bone waiting in the wings. I promised Vic I would finish the books and I intend to keep that promise. Though I'll have to admit, it'll be a bit weird to read that last book, knowing she didn't get to. But I'm way too committed to Jamie and Claire at this point to stop reading now! Vic would love it! I just wish I had started the series a whole lot sooner so we could talk about them as I read through the books. She waited with baited breath, literally(!), as I came to certain points in the first couple of books, knowing what lay ahead for me! I think it drove her nuts not to discuss upcoming events but she was not about to spoil my fun! God I miss that...

Anyway, I just wanted to tell 'someone' that I finished one of the books and was on to the next one! Just got to the part early in the book where Claire found Ian sitting on the path with a big boo-boo on the back of his head! Thank God...I was worried about the wee lad! :-)
